THE LIFE OF EMPEROR CHARLES V (1500-1556) in music and pictures.

A special commission with slides and music from the Festival of Flanders for the 500th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Charles V. The listener comes away with an insight into Renaissance politics as well as Renaissance music. With 3 computer-controlled projectors, a 6x4 metre screen and music by Agricola, Josquin, de la Rue, Gombert, and traditional music from Turkey and Central America.
